Denver Supercross track map and how to watch
Round 16 is the second to the last weekend of racing in the 2024 Supercross season and the points races remain close in both classes. The 250SX West classes are just three points separating first and second places with Levi Kitchen trailing RJ Hampshire after a rough weekend in Nashville for Kitchen. In the 450SX class, Cooper Webb is twelve points behind Jett Lawrence which means if Jett can manage the next two rounds and avoid any disaster he should easily leave with the 450 championship in his rookie 450SX season. Even with just two rounds left there is plenty on the line for this late in the season to be excited for.
The track layout has a roughly 50/50 mix of 180 degree and 90 degree turns with the 180’s being the best opportunity for passing. There is also one long rhythm section that goes the full length of the stadium which has been eventful in some rounds this season. A long sand section anchors the middle part of the track just beyond the end of the start straight and we have seen lots of troubles and passing in these longer sand sections this year. Overall hoping the layout provides for some good racing.
How To Watch
The broadcast starts off the day with Race Day Live (RDL) on Peacock stream service. The RDL team announces and provides color commentary on the two qualifying sessions of the day. During the RDL broadcast, they will also showcase special story segments on a variety of athletes, teams, and racing related topics. It’s a great way to get an early look at the track and who might be contending for the podium later in the day during the main events. The RDL show will start at 1:30pm ET. The main broadcast and gate drop happens at 7:00pm ET and will cover the Heat races, Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ), and the 250SX and 450SX main events. The main broadcast will be shown on NBC as an encore on Sunday at 4:00pm ET.
