Penalty report out for St. Louis Supercross

We were expecting a long report this week after the red cross flag situation in the second 450 moto from St. Louis that claimed five riders. It was a rough weekend for riders and the red cross flag as there were two riders in the 250 class also that were penalized for jumping on the flag. Then there was just one that failed sound testing and was docked a fast lap. Jason Anderson jumped on the flag twice on the white flag lap and at the finish, that is why he was penalized 4 positions.

I’m not sure what the rule book specifies about whether a warning flag needs to be waived or not someone would need to explain that to everyone. Its clear that it was not very visible based on the situation of the tight corner before the finish jump and the flag being on the right side while everyone was fading left for the jump and not looking up till right before then take off. It’s hard to argue since it happened to so many riders and they were not tightly grouped together.
