Shane McElrath joins Madparts Kawasaki Team
In surprising news, Steve Matthis reports that Shane was part ways with the H.E.P Suzuki team and would be signing with the Madparts Kawasaki Team. The news was confirmed today from Madparts. Sounds like we will see Shane racing on the green bike very soon since he is in a good position to qualifying into the SMX playoffs.
We’re excited for the opportunity to sign Shane for the remainder of the 2024 @supermotocross series. Shane will join @freddienoren to form the strongest line-up in the team’s history! The team is working diligently to get Shane acclimated to the bike and the #12 will be on the line for Unadilla.
Shane joins the team with an impressive 9-career 250SX @supercrosslive wins, three runner-up 250SX Championships, an FIM World Supercross Championship @fimwsx (2022), and a near podium finish in Round 2 of the 2024 Supercross in San Francisco (4th).
