Update: Jordan Smith’s incident in the main event

Jordan was having a pretty solid night in Seattle Supercross as he has much of the 250 west coast season so far. He was running in second behind Levi Kitchen in the main event when he had a hard get off. He cross rutted and came up short on a triple in the rhythm section and took a hard hit. It appeared his head hit the bars pretty badly, he corrected that in a statement and said it was his chest that hit the bars. On the broadcast it did not look like he was right for a few minutes after that as he appeared to be punch drunk. He was cutting back on the track into other riders and just all over the place.

Jordan said that it was his body taking the hit and the wind was badly knocked out of him for around 30 seconds. The eratic riding can be chalked up to bent bars it looks like. He was checked out by the Alpinestars medical team afterwards and did not have any concussion symptoms. Look forward to seeing him race next week in St. Louis.
