In 2023 Pro Motocross and Supercross finally joined forces and launched the inaugural season of Super Motocross (SMX). The SMX season would consist of both events running their regular seasons crowing individual series champions as normal. Whats new was a combined points system to determine who is advanced to the newly created playoff system to determine the SMX Champion.
