In breaking news this morning, Chance Hymas announced that he came up short on a triple yesterday in practice and has some damage to his wrist and will not compete this weekend or at MXoN.
“A slight mistake yesterday and I over jumped the triple, jammed my left wrist pretty bad. But after further evaluation a CT scan showed small fractures in two wrist bones and it raised concern about an injured ligament between the bones.
“We’ve had to make the difficult decision to withdraw from MXON. There are a lot of people involved in this decision, and so many factors that have to be considered beyond just me.
“I will always step up for my country. This decision is about giving Team USA the best possible chance at a great result. I know I wouldn’t be at 100%, and I don’t believe that would be fair to Coop, Levi, or the entire USA team.
“Representing my country is something I will always be proud of, and this was an incredibly difficult decision to make.”
