Jalek Swoll announces a recent injury

Jalek has had a bit of an up and down season so far in the 250 east coast Supercross series in 2024. He has three top ten finishes and a last place in the Arlington round. Things started out great in Indy last weekend. and his starts were great. He went 6,7, and then 20th to finish eleventh overall. The issue in the third moto was due to the failure of a proprietary sensor, which stung as he was running in fourth place at the time.

The injury hapend in Birmingham and he fractured to vertebrae in his back. Was a bit shocked that he was good to ride as most would fear another crash could cause a far more serious injury. He definitely gutted it out in Indy and was having his best ride of the year.

Kept it quiet just trying to make it to this few week break we get. But now that I’ve made it, back in Birmingham I fractured my L3 and L4 in my back, after taking some scans and MRI’s we found out that other than pain it was safe to ride, and couldn’t do any more damage than what was already done. I decided to grit it out and race Indy and man that was a suffer fest.

I was sitting p4 overall going into last race of the triple crown and unfortunately had a small technical issue with a proprietary sensor which ended my last race of the night early. Obviously I was pretty bummed I didn’t walk outta there with a top 5 after putting myself through that kind of pain but it is what it is……. Starts were sick tho
