Supercross final round preview

It’s hard to believe this is the last round of Supercross and the Pro Motocross outdoor season starts in just a couple of weeks. The previous sixteen rounds of the 2024 Supercross season have been eventful in many different ways. Be it from the bunch of rain-affected rounds, to close points races, or the heated debate of short whoop sections and removal of dragon backs. Either way, it’s been a season to remember with young talent emerging and crafty veterans proving they are not yet ready to hang up their boots.

With Cooper Webb nursing a thumb injury and Eli Tomac out with a hand injury the challengers for Jett feels like he may just run away with it. Chase Sexton has been steadily improving and with the exception of tucking the front end twice in Denver, he had really good speed but had to claw back from a start incident that put him at the back of the pack. Barring a major disaster the championship is all but locked up for Jett so will we see him just take what the night brings him and manage his risk or does he go out and ride normal and win.

With this being the final round the broadcast schedule is flush with options this weekend. to tune in to watch racing. Race Day Live (RDL) will be streamed on Peacock live as normal and starts at 2:30pm ET. The main broadcast starts at 7:30pm on Peacock and 8pm ET on USA Network. There will also be an encore broadcast on NBC on Sunday at 2pm ET.

Salt Lake City Track Map

You can get a good view of the track layout via the Yamaha animated track map video below. There are a healthy mix of 90 degree and 180 degree turns with the latter typically being the best option for passing. The track is an average design but hopefully allows for some good racing and does not become too one-lined.
