AMSOIL Snocross National Grand Rapids, MI March 24 & 25

The weather was typical early spring late winter craziness, most of the natural snow was gone or leaving fast. But the team at Cannonsburg had been busy keeping the artificial stuff going for good track conditions. The sun was out for parts of the day and temps in the 30’s made for a good first day of racing. But the rain had other plans for day two and made for a big mess both on and off the track.

Most of the championship points races were pretty well under control by this point in the season and baring any serious incidents we all have a good idea of who would be taking home the trophies at the last round in Iowa. This did not affect the excitement or the quality of racing for the weekend as each heat and main was just as hotly contested.

The track held up well throughout the day and evening on Friday and made for excellent racing. The following are the podium results for the top pro classes. Wisconsin native Kody Kamm had a great battle doing to 2nd place in the heat race with Hunter but could not get the pass to stick. But Kody did not fair as well in the main with a seventh-place finish.
