Ironman MX 2023 Pro Motocross Race

The end of the 2023 outdoor season of Pro Motocross is upon us and in familiar fashion its wrapping up at Ironman raceway in Crawfordsville, IN. It’s been a season full of action and also with with little mystery as Jett dominated the 450 class in his rookie season. The weather cooperated nicely this year with temps in the low 80’s it was a pleasant day for racing.

As we entered the weekend, Jett had already locked up the 450 season title and Hunter was is in comfortable control of the 250 title with just needing to avoid a large disaster.

450 Class

The fans were treater to just the third athlete in history to achieve a perfect season with Jett going 1-1 for the weekend putting an exclamation point on his 2023 championship season. Chase finished 2-2 for second overall and just could not grab that elusive moto win he was chasing all season. The two really were on another level all season and had Chase not missed the three races the points race would have been much closer but liekly to not matter with Jett being perfect all year.

250 Class

The points race in the 250 class was only really contested for part of the season with Hunter in slight control most of the time. There was good action and excitement as there was close competition and the entry of rookie Haiden Deegan and Tom Vialle from Europe made for great additions to the series. Both Deegan and Vialle hit the ground running with multiple podiums over the year and even leading laps, the future continues to look promising for the 250 class.

Scouting Moto Combine

This was the third and final moto combine of the 2023 Pro Motocross season and we will likely see several of these young talents racing in pro class next season. The combine provides valuable experience for these young atheletes looking at going pro and trying to get as much experience as possible. During the combine they will get to experience exactly what a race day looks and feels like. They will get hands on training from the days grueling schedule to working with media, all while getting expert coaching from talents of past all stars.

We were most hopeful for Krystian Janik who is a promising midwest athlete on team green who had an excellent showing in moto 1 with a second place finish. Unfortunetly he did not fare as well in moto 2 and unable to work his way back to a podium spot.

  1. Gaving Towers

  2. Drew Adams
