North Central Amateur Regional - MC Moto

Once again in the regional season here in north central and the weather had something to say with how the weekend racing would go. The Friday practice went off as normal but was calm in comparison to what was coming on Saturday. On Saturday the first day of racing the skies opened up and a nasty thunderstorm rolled in and poured down rain with lots of lightning strikes making people nervous. With little that could be done the decision was made to not race on Saturday and change to a shortened two moto format on Sunday. There was plenty of complaining, but it would have been after lunch on Saturday at the earliest that racing could have started and it would have been a muddy mess.

The track had made some changes to make the regional more challenging, there was a good amount of sand added to the track. This along with the still very wet conditions on Sunday made for a challenging morning of racing for first motos. By the end of the day, there were riders that had nothing left in the tank or were completely frustrated by mistakes.

B Classes

The B classes are super competitive and probably some of the fastest classes that will be at the ranch. They did not disappoint this weekend either with closely contested racing in the B class motos. The north central region saw good results in B class with a number of riders punching their ticket to the ranch and several of them in multiple classes.

Brodie Bennett - 250B, 450B Limited
Cole Godfrey - 250B
Leo Tucker - 250B, 250B Limited
Jordan Biese - 250B Limited, 450B, 450B Limited
Mason Hulsey - 250B Limited
Ronnie Orres - 450B
Drake Dionne - 450B

C Classes

Hold on to your hats the C class races can get a little crazy sometimes, but they are never short on action and opsies. There were a lot of fast riders that showed up for the weekend. We had a handful of riders that advanced to the ranch.

Christopher Colantoni - 250C
Marshall Busse - 250C Limited, 450C
Jackson Oehlhof - 250C Limited
Preston Leaf - 250C Limited
Ryan Bussen - 250C Jr

125 Classes

Love the 125 classes for their screaming 2-stroke action and there were some great battles. The out of regional riders dominated the weekend but a few riders did manage to punch their tickets. The deep conditions and big jumps provided for some challenging conditions for these smaller bikes.

Brady Karolevitz - 125C
Bryce Rauner - 125C
Milo Maas - 125cc B/C
Deegan Vanvreede - 125cc B/C

Schoolboy Classes

With a mix of 125’s and fresh on 250F’s this class is filled with young rising talent. The schoolboy classes are always action-packed and the top riders are the B class stars of tomorrow. This weekend’s motos did not disappoint and we had five riders punch their tickets to the ranch.

Deegan Vanvreede - Schoolboy 1
Easton Block - Schoolboy 2
Ronnie Orres - Schoolboy 2
Leo Tucker - Schoolboy 2
Brandon Nelson - Schoolboy 2
