North Central Loretta Lynn Youth Amateur Regional 2023 - Lincoln Trail MX
Up here in the North Central region the Regional races mean the regional rounds of Amateur Nationals are coming to a close with warmer regions already completed for the most part. There was a massive turnout at Lincoln Trail with all but a couple of classes requiring heats because they had so many entries. The 65cc classes were so full they mostly featured full gates at the heat race round. The weather was clear skies and lots of sun which made for three very hot days hovering around 90 degrees. The track crew did a great job touching up the track at times and keeping a steady dose of water to keep the track from getting dry and baked out. There were entrants from at least 37 states and 9 countries making up the field.
With Amateur Nations just over a month away, every one of the riders was anxious to try and punch their ticket to the ranch with limited opportunities left.
Here are some of the Midwest riders that were able to get their tickets and will be in Tennessee in early August to race for an Amateur Championship. We look forward to seeing them race and hopefully fight for podiums at the nationals.
