So, I know there were a lot of changes made it sounds like today. Are things in the right direction? >> I’m off there. Um, yeah, it was it was a good good moto for me. I think I had good speed for about 15 minutes of it and then I kind of fell off a little bit, but I had to put a big effort coming from last to to fourth. So, um frustrated in putting myself in that hole off the off the rip because that was pretty dumb, but um you know, we fought back and uh that’s the name of the game. We saved a lot of points.
I know I’m in a bit of a hole at this point, but we’re pretty close to being in a in a good spot to uh click off some wins. So, I think tonight obviously I had the bike to do it. Just made a dumb mistake on my part. So, clean those clean that stuff up and just feels like I haven’t raced in a long time. coming back from last weekend, didn’t really get to be up in the front and then today it was still starting in the back. So, I’d like to make it easier on myself for uh next weekend.
Yeah. Yeah, I felt a lot better this weekend. I think if you look at my main event from this weekend to last weekend, that was a big big big difference. So, um I felt good all day in practice. didn’t get a good laugh in practice, but felt good. Felt good in the heat race. Um, got the win in that and then yeah, again, I felt good for most of that main event. Just when you start last, it’s uh it’s a bit tough coming through uh a lot of good guys and um yeah, fourth was about as good as I could do. I feel like
if I could have pushed a little longer, I could have gotten to top three. Um they were right in front of me. Just lost the pace a little bit at the end. >> Hey, Alex. What was the uh the number one thing you were kind of looking for out of the bike this weekend from day one. >> Um, just wanted to get it more more comfortable for me. I think in the offseason I kind of went the wrong way and it was on me. I I with suspension we made a lot of progress with the chassis and stuff, but suspension wise I was
really soft last weekend and the bike um wasn’t going to be good for 20 minutes, but that was because of the way I pushed it. And um I think uh this week just honestly the whole team even pro circa helped uh a lot and we came together as a family and it’s pretty cool. I I’m really having fun being a part of Kawasaki and I think um yeah we’re going to see good things here coming pretty soon. They are a great team and they deserve to win. So my job is put them there. >> Josh Mosen motocross action. Chase, um,
you kind of started to answer my question as I, uh, was getting ready to ask you, but pretty cool to see Kawasaki and you guys heard you rode Levi Kitchen’s bike this week, jumped on a 250. Um, Kawasaki has a stigma of being a more rigid team, but they let you throw Pro Circuit triple clamps on there, linkage, forks, and switch everything up after round two. So, two weeks in, you looked a lot better today. And uh just tell us about I guess working together with the team, working together with Pro Circuit, riding a 250,
you know, uh how how is it working with the team now? >> It’s been really fun. Um yeah, I mean, you hear the you hear the stuff on them, they’re really rigid and strict, but they’ve been nothing but open arms to me and yeah, I rode Levi’s bike this week and I was uh I haven’t ridden a 250 in a long time and he rode my bike. So, it was uh it was cool to kind of go back and forth and um learn some stuff, but they I mean they do a lot of R&D themselves and my bike was a lot better
today. Obviously, we still have a little work to do, but the team’s been really really awesome. I can’t say anything but good things about >> fun to ride a 250 again. >> It was actually I got the rhythms and stuff down and I felt like I was going decently fast on it. So, uh yeah, I was like, man, after last weekend they’re going to put me on a 250 back in the lights. I was uh not very good. But uh no, it was it was really fun and it’s fun riding with Levi because he’s uh him
and I do the same training program so we’re pretty familiar and it’s been good almost second for a while and then it seemed like dropped back in the last >> um yeah when you start when you start in last it’s a bit it’s a bit difficult to get to especially as other classes it’s hard to get to the top five and um once I got there I was pretty much I wasn’t at my limit, but I was I was pushing pretty hard and I felt like I was catching them and they were right there and it was just uh a little bit too far
for me to to get to the back and I had already put put myself in a lot of uh yeah hard riding up until that point. I was wide open for 15 minutes that race. So, it was uh it would have been a lot easier starting in the front. >> Thanks, guys.
