The fifth round of Supercross took place in Tampa, Florida this past Saturday and it was a hurricane of activity. Unfortunately both of these top 450SX riders have injuries that will require surgery to fix and will most likely miss most to all of the remaining rounds of the 2025 Supercross season.

Eli Tomac Injury Update

Upon further evaluation after the weekend, Eli Tomac was found to have sustained a broken Fibula during qualifying at Tampa Supercross. Initially thought to be a bruised calf and sprained ankle, the @monsterenergy Yamaha Star Racing rider put in a heroic performance in Tampa, finishing seventh in his heat race and scoring five points in the main event. Tomac will focus on returning to full fitness with an update on his return to follow at a later date. Eli has provided another update on Wednesday, saying there would be another MRI on Thursday and plan was to have surgery on Friday.

“Unfortunately, this was more than an ankle sprain and a bruised calf. After two days of pain not improving, I got additional scans on my leg, and I do have a broken Fibula. This is such a bummer as I’ve never felt better on the motorcycle in Supercross and getting a win at San Diego was great. I don’t have an exact timeframe of recovery at this time but will be working to come back as soon as possible.” – Eli Tomac

Hunter Lawrence Injury Update

I got the MRI results back and my shoulder has some fractures which isn’t an issue compared to the torn ligament that is requiring surgery. Going to get it fixed and come back 100% to go and battle for the Outdoor and SMX title again. Thank you to all my amazing partners who continually support us and are the reason all this is possible, we will get this 2025 turned around soon enough💪🏽 see you at select upcoming races for the @factoryfanzone – Hunter Lawrence
