GT Arenacross Outlaws - Kansas City, MO January 13/14, 2023

The weekend of January 13th and 14th brought rounds 10 and 11 of the arenacross outlaw series to the Hale Arena in Kansas City, MO. Two days of racing with amateurs practicing and qualifying each day. Each evening brings the amateur mains along with the pro’s qualifying and main events. This format makes for long days packed with tons of action. There was a large turnout for the weekend of racing with full gates for the main events and the majority of the amateur classes. The racing started off with lots of action as some of the jumps and whoops made for tough challenges that caused some chaos for the part of the amateurs.

Friday Night results

Friday night saw Hicks the defending champion enter the weekend with the points lead looking to finish strong and expand his early points lead. The heat races were hotly contested but ended with Hicks at the top of both the 250 and 450 podiums at the end of the night. Mike Alessi had that Yamaha 2-stroke screaming around the track all night with 2nd place in both classes. Henry Miller showed up with Supercross being canceled because of all the rain in Oakland to grab 3rd place in the 250 class.

Saturday Night results

The stands in Hale Arena were packed and Michael Hicks was looking to have the same success he had in the previous round and he ended up on top of the podium for both classes this night also. The podiums were exactly the same from Friday just flipping 250 and 450 class results.

The weekend of racing was action-packed and kept the riders and audience engaged all day. The series heads towards Kansas for rounds 12 and 13 after a week off. Will Hicks keep his spot on top of the podium or will we see one of the hungry riders on his heels take that top spot in the coming rounds?
