Thor Mini O’s 2022 at Gatorback Cycle Park

This is an annual event that takes place at the beginning of the Winter season each year, drawing riders from all over the US and other countries. The race is held at Gatorback Cycle Park in Northern Florida. This year had over 5,500 pre-event race entries with a bunch more done on-site making it the largest amateur motocross and supercross race each year.

The racing action took place over 7 days that started off with supercross and switched to motocross mid-week. Most of the racers compete in both SX and MX while a few just raced one of the moto styles. The cycle park explodes into a small city for the week filled with vendors, families, and racers. Getting around can be an adventure with all the pit vehicles and at times bordered on dangerous, so be sure to pack your patience as it will be tested throughout the week.

Some of our favorite motos to watch are the PWs, women’s, superminis, and pro races. These range from cute and adorable to blazing-fast action that terrifies you at times. There are a ton of fast riders that travel down for this event and fill up the different classes. Many of the classes were so full that they had to run 2-3 heat races with full 40-rider gates just to get down to a full gate for the main moto.

The results of the event are just too enormous to break down here without it turning into a 100-page book. We received two media credentials and sent two photographers to shoot the event. The following is a gallery of some important shots and some of our favorites.
